İnvestment promotion document in Azerbaijan

  1. Within 7 years from the date of receipt of the investment promotion document, 50% of the income of an individual entrepreneur and the profit of a legal entity are exempt from taxation.
  2. Import of machinery, technological equipment and installations on the basis of a confirmation document of the Ministry of Economy is exempt from customs duties for a period of 7 years (at least 15%) and VAT (18%).
  3. And when carrying out activities within the country, the right is granted to a 7-year grace period with exemption from property and land taxes.

The right to encouragement applies only to new equipment and technologies imported from foreign countries.

How do you get an investment promotion document?

Every entrepreneur investing in Azerbaijan must first find out whether he is eligible for an Investment Promotion Document. Thus, the entrepreneur must familiarize himself with the spheres of economic activity in which the investment is made, the minimum amount associated with the volume of the investment project, and the administrative-territorial units in which the investment project will be implemented. The Ministry of Economy considers the application within 5 working days.
